World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.

It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, and learning what we can do to look after ourselves and each other.

Medway Sport would like to invite members of the public to join in a free specialist one-off class to feel the benefits. Members of the public can book online from Thursday 5 October.

Timetable

1pm to 1.45pm – Hydro your Flo at Strood Sports Centre. A hydrotherapy
session in the comforting warmth of the hydrotherapy pool with chilled music, mood
lighting and breathwork.

4.30pm to 5.15pm – Chill-out! At Medway Park. How often do you hear that phase
from your children? Come along with them to share a peaceful yoga practice
together. All ages and abilities welcome.

5.30pm to 6.15pm – Meditation, mindfulness and soundbath at Medway Park.
Whether you’re curious or it’s something you practice regularly, our specialist
instructor will guide you through a simple and peaceful meditation practice leading
into a soothing soundbath. Many reports have claimed the extensive benefits of the
healing vibrations from a soundbath such as deep relaxation, reduced stress, and
improved sleep and mood. Come along and give it a go for yourself. All you need to
do is lie down, get comfy and listen. You are welcome to bring cushions, blankets or
eye masks.

7pm to 8.30pm – Hot yoga at Medway Park. An extended fiery yoga flow building
energy and heat in the body before cooling down in a heavenly Savasana.
